Station Current Step

1. Module Overview

Core Function: The Station Current Step module is used to display the process step information currently being executed by the station in real-time, helping users monitor the operating status of the station. This module is an important part of the LMES system management function, providing key process execution information for production monitoring and troubleshooting.

  • Component Identifier: WorkStationStep
  • Component Name: Station Current Step
  • Component Category: run (Plugin)

2. Scenario Description

In the actual production process, users need to know the operating status of the station and the currently executed process steps in real-time. This module is mainly applied in the following scenarios:

  • Production Monitoring: View the process nodes currently executed by the station in real-time to grasp the production progress.
  • Troubleshooting: When a station anomaly occurs, quickly locate the current execution step and historical execution records to analyze the cause of the problem.
  • Process Traceability: Trace the production process by viewing detailed information of process execution, including time consumption, instance ID, etc.

3. Function Introduction

Interface Overview

The Station Current Step module provides a concise and intuitive information display interface, including two main functional areas: Current Step Overview and Detailed Information Query.

Station Current Step Overview

3.1 Current Step Overview

The Current Step Overview area is located at the top of the interface, displaying key information about the process currently being executed by the station in the form of a compact information card. As shown in the figure above, this area contains the following core elements:

  • Status Indicator: A green dot indicator in the upper left corner of the interface, indicating that the current step is running.
  • Current Node Name: Displays the name of the process node currently being executed by the station (as in the example "Station Entry Product Code Listening").
  • Execution Time: Displays the execution timestamp of the current step, accurate to milliseconds (Format: YYYY-MM-DD HH:mm:ss.SSS).
  • Instance ID: Displays the unique identifier of the current process instance in the upper right corner, facilitating problem traceability.
  • More Details Entry: The "More >>" link in the upper right corner, click to view more detailed process execution information.

3.2 Process Execution Detail Query

Click the "More >>" link in the upper right corner of the overview area, and the system will pop up the "View More Details" dialog box, used to query and analyze all process execution log information from the current record (may include historical records from a long time ago).

3.2.1 Search and Filter Function

The top of the dialog box provides powerful search tools to help users quickly locate target process records:

  • Search Box: Located in the upper left corner of the dialog box, with a magnifying glass icon. Users can enter the process name or instance ID here for precise query. The search box displays the prompt text "Please enter process name/instance ID".
  • Search Button: The blue "Search" button on the right side of the search box. Clicking it will execute the query operation based on the input conditions.

3.2.2 Process Execution Record Table

The table area displays process execution records that meet the search conditions, containing the following key fields:

FieldDescription
No.Sequence number of the record
Process NameName of the executed process
Instance IDUnique identifier of the process instance, used to trace the specific execution process
Time Consumed (ms)Execution time consumption of this process step, in milliseconds
DescriptionSupplementary explanation information for process execution

When there is no data meeting the conditions, the center of the table will display "No Data" prompt.

3.2.3 Dialog Operation Buttons

The bottom right corner of the dialog box provides two operation buttons:

  • Cancel: Click to close the dialog box, do not perform any operation, and return to the current step overview interface.
  • Confirm (Blue Button): Click to confirm the viewing operation and close the dialog box.

The top right corner of the dialog box also provides a standard close button (×), clicking it directly closes the dialog box.

4. Best Practices and Precautions

4.1 Usage Suggestions

  1. Regular Monitoring: It is recommended to check the station current step regularly during the production process to discover abnormal execution situations in time.
  2. Troubleshooting: When a station anomaly occurs, prioritize checking process time consumption and execution records through the "More Details" function to analyze whether there is process stagnation or execution failure.
  3. Performance Analysis: Pay attention to process time consumption data, identify steps with excessively long execution times, and provide a basis for process optimization.

5. Common Questions

Q: Why does the current step always show the same node? A: This may indicate that the process execution is stuck at that node. It is recommended to check the process execution details, check if the time consumption is abnormal, and troubleshoot whether the execution conditions of that node are met.

Q: How to find process execution records for a specific time period? A: You can enter the process name or instance ID in the search box of the "View More Details" dialog box to query, and the system will return matching historical records.

Q: How to interpret process time consumption data? A: Time consumption is displayed in milliseconds (ms). Under normal circumstances, most process steps should be completed within hundreds of milliseconds. If a step takes several seconds or even longer, there may be performance problems or execution anomalies.
