Rework Management

1. Module Overview

Core Function

The Rework Management module is an important part of quality management in the LMES system, specifically used to manage defective products generated during the production process. This module supports complete rework process control, defect cause analysis, and processing result tracking, helping enterprises achieve effective management of non-conforming products and improve production quality and efficiency.

  • Component Identifier: QualityManagement
  • Component Name: Defective Product Management
  • Component Category: run (Plugin)

2. Scenario Description

Users need to use this module in the following business scenarios:

  • When a defective product is detected on the production line, it needs to be judged and processed.
  • When a product needs to be reworked, a specific rework route needs to be configured and executed.
  • When it is necessary to analyze quality problems in the production process, defect causes need to be recorded and statistically analyzed.
  • When it is necessary to trace the processing history of a non-conforming product, its rework and judgment records need to be queried.

3. Function Introduction

Interface Overview

The interface of the Rework Management module mainly includes core functional areas such as pending defective product list, rework judgment interface, defect cause configuration, and defective product rework route configuration. The overall interface design follows the principle of intuitiveness and ease of use, facilitating operators to quickly handle defective products.

3.1 Pending Defective Product List

This area is used to display all pending defective product information, providing quick search and processing entries. A search box is provided at the top of the interface to filter defective products by product barcode, batch number, etc. The list displays key information such as product barcode, batch number, detection time, defect cause, and current process, facilitating operators to quickly understand the status of defective products.

3.2 Rework Judgment

To judge and process a defective product, select a defective product from the pending defective product list, and the system will display the rework judgment interface. In this interface, the operator can view the detailed information of the defective product, the description of the quality problem, and select the judgment result. Judgment results include:

  • Scrap: Directly scrap the defective product
  • NG Product Outflow: Allow non-conforming products to flow out of the production line
  • Equipment Rework: Requires equipment maintenance processing
  • Manual Rework: Requires manual intervention for repair

After the operator selects the judgment result, the system automatically executes the corresponding processing flow. If manual rework is selected, the system will guide the operator to add specific rework processes.

3.3 Defect Cause Configuration

The Defect Cause Configuration function allows enterprises to standardize the management of various quality problem causes. The interface supports maintaining non-conforming causes by process dimension. Operators can add, edit, and delete defect causes for different processes to ensure accurate recording and statistical analysis of quality problems.

3.4 Defective Product Rework Route Configuration

The Defective Product Rework Route Configuration function allows enterprises to configure specific rework process routes for different products. Each rework route contains the following key elements:

  • Product Association: Specify which products are applicable
  • NG Process Mapping: Define which processes produce non-conforming products
  • Rework Process: Specify the sequence of processes required for rework
  • Material Unbinding Strategy: Define how materials are processed

To add or edit a defective product rework route, operators can use the Add/Edit Defective Product Rework Route interface, fill in relevant information and save.

3.5 Product Judgment Record

The Product Judgment Record function provides query capabilities for all defective product judgment and processing history. The interface supports filtering and querying by time range, product barcode, judgment result, etc., facilitating quality management personnel to perform quality problem analysis and traceability.

4. Best Practices and Precautions

4.1 Configuration Suggestions

  • Rationally Plan Defect Cause Classification: Establish a scientific defect cause classification system based on the actual situation of the enterprise to facilitate subsequent statistical analysis.
  • Configure Suitable Rework Routes for Different Products: Configure the optimal rework process route for each product according to product characteristics and quality requirements.
  • Regularly Check and Optimize Rework Processes: Regularly evaluate and optimize rework processes based on actual operation to improve processing efficiency.

4.2 Operation Precautions

  • Ensure Accurate Judgment Results: When judging defective products, carefully confirm the product status and problem, and select the correct judgment result.
  • Record Defect Causes in Detail: Record defect causes as detailed as possible to provide a reliable basis for quality analysis.
  • Strictly Follow Rework Routes: When performing rework operations, strictly follow the configured rework route to ensure product quality.
  • Regularly Back Up Judgment Records: Regularly back up product judgment records to prevent data loss.

5. Appendix

5.1 Terminology Explanation

  • Defective Product: Product that does not meet quality standards
  • Rework: Repair non-conforming products to meet quality requirements
  • Judgment Result: Decision on the handling of non-conforming products, including scrap, NG product outflow, equipment rework, and manual rework
  • Rework Route: Sequence of processes that non-conforming products need to pass through during repair
